Paying Taxes

This from Matthew 22:15-22 (New International Version )

"Then the Pharisees went out and laid plans to trap him in his words.
They sent their disciples to him along with the Herodians.
·    Rabbi, they said, we know that you are a man of integrity
·    and that you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth.
·    You aren't swayed by others, because you pay no attention to who they are.
·    Tell us then, what is your opinion?
·    Is it right to pay the imperial tax to Caesar or not?
But Jesus, knowing their evil intent, said,
·    You hypocrites, why are you trying to trap me?
·    Show me the coin used for paying the tax.
They brought him a denarius, 20 and he asked them,
·    Whose image is this?
·    And whose inscription?
Caesar's, they replied.
Then he said to them,
·    So give back to Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's.
When they heard this, they were amazed. So they left him and went away. "
So pay your taxes.
The next article will tell why it is good to pay taxes and how paying taxes is going to help you get more rich.

Is it possible to avoid bad marriage even if u love somebody?

Yes it is possible to do that. And it would be the best thing to do, not to marry the person u love if you are aware that the marriage will be a bad one. As already discussed in my blog earlier, love is the function of the fifth house whereas marriage is the function of the seventh house. Both should not be confused. But unfortunately many people believe that romantic love must culminate into a marriage. This is a wrong set of mind.
What is Love? Love is the desire for another to have happiness. And a bad marriage brings happiness to no one, to neither of the partners. The confusion should be cleared and with the necessity of marriage having little validity and all importance in today’s world, it can be put on the last burner. Most people have a quite limited understanding of marriage, and therefore confuse the sexual, social, and spiritual purposes of marriage.
But this is an essential understanding that every person should be aware of. If u know the marriage is going to be bad, be prepared for a hell on this earth. It can bring physical, social, economical and emotional turmoils as well as bruises for life. That is why divorces take place and they are devastating, affecting not only the partners but also the families of both the partners.
So marriages, especially those undertaken during period of Rahu, might better be avoided by those with the self-knowledge to avoid them. But this is a Catch-22 statement because it is precisely the Rahu-dominated folks who can't avoid these marriages due to intense, past-life-rooted passions which strongly tend to make history repeat itself. Rahu gives burning desires for pleasure, excitement, tumultuous change, and uprising of subconscious patterns into consciousness. If your consciousness permits a higher awareness of your repeating desire patterns, you can avoid unfavorable marriages entirely by working out some other type of partnership [business, caretaking, service] with the object of your Rahu-driven passions. Such a relationship will be more happy and successful.
Of course once the Rahu period is over and the partners are happy to continue, then the marriage can take place and such a marriage will be more meaningful.
How it happens?
Rahu creates obsessive-compulsive behavior, passions, OBSESSIONS. His special forte is sexuality and money, jealousy and greed. So during Rahu periods, people often wonder "what hit me?" Suddenly the feelings change with a hurricane force. An intense new hunger for a person, substance, or experience arises. One feels willing to sacrifice all life stability in order to gain this burning desire. Once achieved, however, the object of desire becomes repugnant, revolting, hideous... and so the inevitable and permanent cycle of attraction-repulsion makes a yo-yo toy of the mind. Everything becomes dramatic, extreme, a violent roller-coaster of desire and revulsion ... until finally, the Rahu period expires.
This Rahu Effect explains why it is that the love marriages are not very successful as compared with the arranged marriages. But even arranged marriage, if it takes place in Rahu bhukti chances of Rahu Effect are certain.
So, if you are in Rahu's grips right now, take heart! Although Rahu periods do create these marriages for less conscious folks, if you are conscious enough to know that Rahu is operating and you find yourself immersed in a powerful attraction-repulsion take the scriptural advice and resist marriage! Wait and marry when the stars are more favorable for a happy married life.

Timing of Marriage

Many people want to know if the chance of survival of a marriage are better or not if one chooses to be married during the "appropriate period (Bhukti)”
Marriages pretty much occur on schedule of the Vimshottari dasha. It is actually not possible to experience a marriage unless the planets are lined up correctly. (Humans don't have the power to control major life events, regardless of what we learn in  schools!)
The benefit of Astrology in the modern age is not so much “marriage insurance” via ritual protection of the planets (which certainly used to be Astrology’s central function) but rather mental advantage of knowing when these key life events are most likely to occur. (The only exception is the negative "warning function that a Rahu bhukti is likely to signal a crazy, exotic marriage... which one might wish if karmically possible to decline!)
First marriage occurs during the bhukti of the proper lord plus a gochara Rahu-Ketu contact point. Bhukti of the subsequent navamsha lords with corresponding Rahu-Ketu transits brings subsequent marriages. A more-or-less auspicious day or month within the destined bhukti may be chosen by the marriage partners or their parents, but the timing of marriages is rather a karmic affair, with larger forces enforcing the schedule.
Why is it important to have an auspicious day and time for marriage?                        The small choices we can make within the greater karmic framework, as to choosing an auspicious day and location, are very beneficial to the spiritual well-being of the partners joined in the holy ceremony of marriage. Certainly it is not possible that our small human choices can override the greater plan, but in seeking to choose the most harmonious conditions we are expressing a higher consciousness and a desire to work hand-in-hand with the divine, which is always a helpful attitude to sustain every day of a working marriage.
Higher consciousness partners, who consider themselves bound to each other through the divine, will generally enjoy their marriages much more than those bound to each other in order to satisfy parents, religion, or government. So choosing an auspicious day and inviting our God and spirits to be present at the joining ceremony is a powerful evidence of the partners' mutual desire for a long and "fruitful marriage.

Proper time for marriage ceremony

Marriage before age 31

According to modern neuroscience, the human brain reaches cellular development maturity at approximately age 30-31. (This is one of the strongest arguments for the unpopular but medically sound proposal to raise the USA legal drinking age to 30.)
Marriage before age 31
It stands to reason, therefore, that marriages accomplished before the age of 31 should be closely supervised by elders who have a much more clearly articulated perception regarding the difference between expectations and ideals.(see previous blogs for explanation )Young marriage partners have not yet fully individualized. They do not, characteristically, have much objective information about the cultural values that they have been raised to internalize. It is not easy for a young person to truly accept that there might be several acceptable and viable ways of responding emotionally to a given social situation. Rather, a young person tends to assume that one was raised in the "right" way by one's own worshipful parents/culture, and that anyone whose behaviors veers from the standards and HABITS with which one was raised in an (unexamined, unanalyzed) family-culture setting must be "wrong" or "crazy". This natural, adolescent respect for own culture tends to be very idealistic.
Longevity of marriage - individuals-self (house 1) remaining legally bound into the property (house4) contract (house7) - is perceived as the highest value of marriage. Naturally longevity of financial investments is one of the best ways to develop capital wealth, and society (house 10) favors long contracts for purposes of system (house 11) stability (house 4). But again longevity is most patently NOT the highest spiritual (house 9) value of marriage. Rather, depth and intensity of the shared (house7) spiritual work between partners is what counts.
Every action has a reaction. Every attraction contains its own repulsion. Ask any good Buddhist = if you are intensely attracted to something now, rest assured you will be intensely repulsed by that same thing in the future!
A significant part of the work of marriage is learning to manage the cycles of desire and contempt one feels toward one's partner over long periods of time.

Whether conventional or unusual in configuration, marriages manifest past-life self-knowledge, with a purpose to complete the incomplete Karma of previous life.
